Dry, but full wine coming from the Lustau bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera; elegant, but rich to taste. The richness is balanced by its crisp, flor character to give a lingering aftertaste. Drink as an apéritif or as a wine with food; particularly good with seafood.
90 Points Gold straw. Clean, mineral lime-laced nose. Chalky terroir like great Chablis. Excellent finish of minerals and wood. -Gerry Dawes in IWC - Tanzer
Complex and balanced, showing apple, cedar and tea notes and a structure that turns firm on the walnut finish. There's a pleasant astringency to the texture.
More yellow than Lustau's manzanilla, Jarana is a lovely, proper fino with a nose of iodine, lemon blossom and popcorn. The palate is staunch and doesn't back down; the high-toned nut and citrus flavors seem classic and elevated. And the finish is intense and frames everything in walnut oil and toast.
