Our Pinot Gris style falls between the lighter Italian Pinot Grigio and the richer, rounder Pinot Gris from Alsace. The Chateau Ste. Michelle Pinot Gris offers fresh flavors of juicy pear, melon and a hint of spice. One of the warmest seasons on record in Washington State, 2015 saw optimal ripening across all wine varieties, including Pinot Gris.
Aromas of melon, pear and candied apple lead to medium-bodied fleshy-feeling fruit flavors. It brings a pleasing sense of acidity-a delightful white.
