Cahors is famous for dense Malbec, and Argentina continues the tradition with their own version of oaky concentrated wines. Neither style is a great candidate for summer drinking. The Loire Valley occasionally contributes a lean, dry Côt, but there is rarely a Malbec like Marcel that offers everything: lush fruit, balanced acids, and no oak. Château du Cèdre is known for high-quality age-worthy Cahors, but they also produce wines for immediate drinking. Marcel is 100% Malbec from IGP du Comté Tolosan (South West France) that's fully destemmed and aged in steel. Ready to chill and drink tonight.
Flavor Profile: "Dark red color. Very fruity nose, both powerful and elegant. Very round and soft on the palate with great fruit intensity. Enjoy this wine by itself, or pair with cheese, pizzas, grilled meat, and pasta." Producer
