Anise free with a high thujone content, 'Grüne Fee' is produced in the Friedrich Fischer distillery, better known today as the 'Old Vienna Schnapps Museum'.
In addition to wormwood oil, extracted oils from other herbs such as sage, fennel and chamomile are added to a pre sugared spirit to give this drink a sweet, almost liqueur-like characteristic.
Could perhaps be used as a base for cocktails.
